 Adastra
displays a realistic view of the night sky from any place on Earth or point
in time. The functions of Adastra are a significant subset of the popular
astronomy program Coeli - Stella 2000. You can easily manipulate your real-time
sky display with the center, zoom, unzoom, directional, and panning functions.
A single mouse click on any visible object displays a report with information
about that object. You can also search for stars, planets, or constellations.
Adastra can smoothly animate solar system objects, and create
printable finder charts.
This updated version includes 1,500 more stars, lets you find
stars by designation (Bayer, Flamsteed, HR, SAO number), includes more
accurate routines for all coordinate conversions, uses fewer system resources,
and includes other enhancements. |
